Modern headlights make increasing use of plastic lenses, but as plastic is sensitive to UV radiation, the Philips range of halogen headlight bulbs are made from UV cut quartz ensuring optimum protection of the headlight materials. What this means is that using Philips bulbs ensures that your lenses won’t go an ‘off yellow’ colour.
