Acumen Electronic Chain Oiler [CL10]
At last! An intelligent chain oiler. One that gives a correctly controlled amount of lubricant relative to the power going through the drive chain.
Think about it...as the speed of the motorcycle increases, the power given by the engine increases at a higher rate. So, if you need, say 30 hp to do 70mph, then you'll need an awful lot more than 60 hp to make the motorcycle do 140mph.
Roughly speaking, the power varies with square of the speed. Inside the 'brain' of the CL10 is a 3D map so the lubricant flow rate can vary dependent upon the flow rate figure selected by the rider while riding the motorcycle and also depending upon the speed of the motorcycle.
The lubricant in the CL10 is under pressure, so it doesn't rely on gravity or vacuum to make it drip out when you dont want it to.
Gravity/vacuum feed systems continue to oil the chain in this way when its not required to do so (Stationary/At traffic lights Etc)
This build up of surplus oil is flung off when you are moving again causing unsightly splashes to be deposited all around the rear of your bike.
The CL10 lubricant is a PTFE based formula which is actually forced out onto the Chain. (And it doesn't leak lubricant when you're at traffic lights!)
The amount of flow is rider selectable and is controlled by the display unit switch.
The display unit will also tell you the oil level within the lubricant can everytime the Rider switches on the ignition - and also tell when the can is empty.
Display includes auto-dim for night-time use.
NOTE! Picture shown of display includes optional Alloy Billet Surround.
Standard finish is Black plastic.
Billet alloy housings are avaiable in the following colours (+£25.00)
Black / Silver / Blue / Green / Red
