DGV Gear Indicator + Voltmeter

Acumen has introduced a new version of their best-selling digital gear indicator that includes a voltmeter.  This will help owners to spot some of the more common problems with the battery and charging system, whether at home or out on the road. Typical issues include battery malfunction, failing alternator and faulty regulator/rectifier, any of which could leave you stranded (with a ‘flat’ or ‘fried’ battery) if not attended to. Hence the DGV is particularly useful for touring or commuting.

Once the ignition is turned on the DGV displays not only which gear has been selected but also the battery charge, so owners can clearly tell whether the machine is in neutral and the battery is charged before pressing the starter button. The DGV will continue to keep them informed after they get moving too. Even after the ignition is switched off, the voltmeter display will continue to show the battery voltage for one minute, before turning off automatically.

Like the original DG8, the DGV can learn up to 8 gears and comes equipped with an automatic auto-dim facility for nighttime use.

The DGV is supplied as a head unit with a plug-in extension lead (over 1.5metres total length) for those 'universal hard wire fits' and comprehensive fitting instructions.

NOTE! The DGV needs a signal relative to road (wheel) speedo to work. If your bike has an electronic speedo (Analogue or Digital, it doesn't matter) then you only need the DGV. But, if you have a cable-driven speedometer you will also need the speedo upgrade kit. Sold Separately.
